We had some friends staying at Sandals but we were only going to be in the Exumas for 2 nights and it would have been three thousand dollars at Sandals. Luckily, we found the Grand Isle and it was more than we could have ever expected. The room was above and beyond gorgeous, the staff was extremely friendly and the food was amazing. I would highly recommend  staying here. It was way less crowded than Sandals and much better service.

Huge rooms, state of the art appliances, countertops, patios, decor - and that's just the room! Expect everyone here to know you by name and greet you like family. To say I was impressed with this place is an understatement. When we arrived my jaw dropped. The pictures really don't do it justice. And to top if off the level of service is better than what I've received at other four and five star hotels. We wanted to rent a car one day while there, and the rental company informed us that there were only more expensive cars avaliable. Called the concierge and the concierge had the more expensive car at the lower rate - delivered and picked up from the hotel! Everyone just makes you feel like they are there to make your experience perfect. The bartender at the outdoor bar also runs an excursion company. Had a blast with him.

All rooms are actually one, two or three bedroom condos with a full kitchen, living room and dining room. Tons of space if you are with your whole family. There is a liquor store and market right across the street. Very nicely decorated and all brand new. Loved the fact that every room comes with its own golf cart, which is extremely convenient. Overall, very relaxing, we would deffinately consider going back.

Although Exuma Island is very quiet, Emerald Bay has fantastic scenery and Grand Isle Villas are large, luxurious accommodations. There are golf, a small casino and spa service through the nearby Four Seasons but easy access to only four restaurants. Villa guests have a golf cart for travelling back and forth to the Four Seasons but other restaurants and the only town--Georgetown- are expensive taxi rides away. To rest, relax and enjoy a beautiful tropical beach, come to Exuma's Emerald Isle--but for an active nightlife and varied eating experinces, look elsewhere.
